Blue Water

I got to open my birthday/Christmas present early. I am now the happy and proud owner of my own Mac Book!! First order of business, hook up the Bamboo Wiacom tablet, and install the painting programs and try them out. I do love Corel Painter Essentials. This is just playing with watercolor brushes and getting the feel of how it works with the McBook. Loving it!!

Aviary's Free!

My tablet has been out of commission for a while, so I haven't been doing computer art as much lately.
But I got an e-mail today that Avairy is now free!!
I had really started to fall in love with Avairy, way back when, when it first started. I was excited to learn a lot of new things. But then, it went from beta to pay-for, and I lost my love! It was way out of my price range considering my skill level.
But now that it's free, I'm excited again!
And, I just got a new camera, so I'm more inspired on the photography as well. Combining the two will be awesome.
I've started posting a bit more often on my crafty blog too, stop by if you like.

Eye

Playing with the iPod Touch app Colors, very nice program, maybe I need to get a stylus, my finger feels too fat to make much detail.

The Last Thing You'll See (Hopefully)

The perspective is a bit off, but I did this all from my head.
As I was deciding if I was awake or not this morning, I started thinking about what to do for my art piece today, and this was what popped into my head. I've been really loving HBO's True Blood (and I predict that Sooki will eventually become a vampire, too, I almost named this one 'Sooki' for that very reason).

Three Trees

Learning Art Rage, one thing I'm practicing is use of layers. I actually used 8 separate layers for this piece. I started with purple pencil, and finished with it on the top, for an imaginary feeling.

This is sans the purple, for a psuedo-realistic look, color-wise at least. But a little dull IMO.

In playing around with all the layers, I discovered how cool these two looked together. This is my favorite.

Color Arch

Late, but the inspiration came to me yesterday, so it will officially be yesterday's art. The inspiration came from a sort of shrine that was in the background of a documentary we watched last night. The colors inspired me.

I love Art Rage, but there are other programs to try out as well. I've decided to give Avairy a try, and went through a tutorial this morning for their Peacock program. This is one of the creations I came up with.
If anyone would like an invitation to Avairy, I have a couple more to give, so just leave me a message.
